The Lincoln china service was chosen by First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln (1861-1865). Later known as the Royal Purple Set, this china has a purple-red border color called Solferino. The American bald eagle is above a shield with our national motto in the clouds.
Woodmere China created porcelain dinnerware with American history designs and many are museum quality pieces. It's products have been used as gifts for presidents, heads of state and dignitaries. They produced the White House Collection, Flowers of the First Ladies Collections, the Heritage of America Collection, and the American Treasures Collection and were sold by Mount Vernon, the Reagan Library, John F. Kennedy Library and the Library of Congress, as well as others.
Woodmere (Castle) China closed in 2012 after 40 years of production.
